Special Events         Calendars

Probus Special events are organized by the Special events committee. Probus Members can sign up for events at our monthly general meetings or by contacting a member of the committee. We do welcome guests to our events and non-members may be invited to attend if there are available spaces that have not been taken up by members.

Do you have a suggestion for an activity or outing?  Are you interested in joining the Special Events committee as a volunteer? Please contact a member of the committee.  To see further details about each event, please click on the name of the event.  Full details are also available by attending the monthly General Meetings.

PLEASE NOTE!

PAYMENT OF FEES:
When signing up for events, members should be aware that they are not fully registered for an event until they have pre-paid the advertised cost by cheque, or eTransfer payable to "Probus Club of Central Muskoka". Cash will usually not be accepted.

  • Your cheque should be given to the Special Events team member taking the sign-ups for that particular event. You can turn your cheque over to an events committee member at any of our general meetings.  
  • Alternatively, eTransfers can be made from your bank to this email address:  transfer@centralmuskokaprobus.ca 
    Please be sure to include an explanation of what the payment is for. eTransfers move payments securely and directly into the PCCM bank account and give us a record of payment by email.

CANCELLATIONS:
If having already registered, and you are unable to attend the event afterall:

  • Notify the organizer of the event as soon as you can.
  • If there is a waiting list,
    • the coordinator will notify the next person on the waiting list
    • you will have to obtain re-payment directly from that person.
  • If there is no waiting list,
    • it will be your responsibility to find someone else to attend in your place, and you must inform the event coordinator of this fact.
    • This is particularly important if a bus coach has been arranged for the trip because:
      • the bus company, by law, requires a passenger list.
      • Our insurance company also requires an accurate and up to date list of attendees.

TRIP CANCELLATIONS
If a trip is cancelled by Probus owing to lack of interest or other causes, those who have already registered and paid will receive full refunds.
