GM Calendar - All General Meetings are at 10:00 a.m. sharp.
1. Monthly General Meetings
General meetings are open to all active members. Meetings take place on a monthly basis at 10 a.m. on the second Wednesday of the month, and are held upstairs at the Muskoka Lumber Community Centre at 56 Salmon Ave, in Bracebridge.
The agenda is varied each month as necessary by the Management Team. A typical meeting agenda is:
- Singing of O Canada.
- Land Acknowledgement
- Welcome & Introduction of Guests.
- President's Message & Committee Reports.
- One-minute News.
This is an opportunity for any members to make announcements about social events or other points of interest to members.
- Conversation/Social Break.
A 20-minute opportunity for members to socialize. Tea, coffee and cookies are served. This is also an opportunity for members to sign up for any upcoming outings or events at the Community table.
- Guest Speaker.
Each meeting a speaker talks on a topic that is chosen by the Program Committee to be of interest to members.
- Adjournment by noon
- Optional post-meeting "Lunch Bunch" is at 12:15 p.m. is at a different local restaurant each month for members who wish to attend.
You should always bring three things with you to our meetings:
- Your Probus name tag, to allow people to identify you more easily
- Your cheque book to pay for events at the time you sign up for them
- Your personal calendar, to check your availability for events
Payments
- Events costing $10 and under should be paid for in cash (using exact change if possible).
- Anything costing over $10 should be paid for by cheque or e-transfers to minimize our administrative work.
- Your cancelled cheque is your receipt.
- Cheques should be made out to: Probus Club of Central Muskoka (spelled out in full).
- Money Transfers are sent to "transfer@centralmuskokaprobus.ca" - please include your name and the purpose of your payment in your transfer.
2. Monthly Management TEAM Meetings
Management Team Meetings are held on the 1st Wednesday of every month. The Executive and Committee members attend at 10:00 a.m. via ZOOM. The agenda of the upcoming General Meeting is planned and any organisational issues are discussed.
