Meetings

Members and friends,

The Canadian Health Agency has advised anyone 60 years of age plus to take precautions and pre-emptive action, such as social distancing, to avoid CoVid-19. As the 60+ age category includes most of our Probus members, and in light of this sage and timely warning, your executive team has made the prudent decision to replace in-person general meetings with "virtual" meetings using Zoom teleconferencing services. Zoom meeting invitations will be sent out to the membership by email just before each regular scheduled general meeting. It is not necessary to reply to these invitations, just keep them and click on the links provided to join when the meeting time arrives.

Please keep yourselves and those close to you safe and secure.

Best Regards,

PCCM Management Team

General Meetings

General meetings are open to all members, take place on a monthly basis at 10 a.m. on the second Wednesday of the month, and are held at the Sportsplex, 110 Clearbrook Trail, Bracebridge. There is no requirement for members to attend, but the full value of membership can't be realized if they don't.

Bracebridge Sportsplex

The agenda is varied each month as necessary by the management team. A typical meeting agenda is:

Members should always bring three things with them to meetings: a Probus name tag, a personal calendar, and a cheque book. This allows members to be known, to check their availability for events, and to pay for events at the time they sign up. Events costing $10 and under should be paid for in cash using exact change if possible. Anything over $10 should be paid for by cheque to minimize our administrative overhead. Your cancelled cheque is your receipt.

Cheques should be made out to:   "Probus Club of Central Muskoka"  (spelled out in full).

Executive/Management TEAM  Meetings

Executive Team Meetings are held on the 1st Wednesday of every month. The Executive and Committee heads attend at 10:00am downstairs in the conference room of Bracebridge United Church, 46 Dominion St., Bracebridge. The agenda of the upcoming General Meeting is planned and any organisational issues are discussed.
